the unit often slips off the commode causing the flow of water to cease. we have not had this problem with another similar product that was installed over 10 years ago. the bidet works wonderfully well when positioned properly, but one never knows during the wee morning hours, when it will slip again.

I love this washlet!! Some may think of this as a luxury novelty, but it is hygienic and practical too. It feels great lol, and you'll save $$$ on toilet paper! My only problem was that there was no way to hook up my newer one piece kohler toilet to the washlet. My plumber tried, but the plumbing fittings were just not compatible to the washlet fittings. I ended up getting a new toto one piece toilet to go with the washlet which paired up perfectly and easily. I love the waslet so much that I feel that it was all worth it! From now on, I'm toto all the way!

Question:
Does this item require professional install Does it need a outlet close to toilet
Answer:

This washlet does need a GFI receptacle close to the toilet.  The washlet comes with a 3 foot cord.  It would depend on how handy you are as to if you needed a professional to install it.  It is not much more difficult than installing a toilet seat.

Can you sit on the lid?
Answer:

Toto does not reccomend sitting on the lid to the washlet.

Do you hold remote on hand or can it be mounted on wall?
Answer:

It is mounted on the wall but it is wireless, so if you wanted you could just hang onto it instead of moutning the it.
