Very high quality, works like a charm! My plumber was unprepared and inexperienced with the unusual installation system. Look at the specs and instructions so you'll know to ask for someone who knows how to do this...it is not installed like traditional toilets. Plumber needs a high-quality drill bit if going into concrete. My plumber ruined several bits, chewed up the concrete and broke a tile. Once he bought a good bit, he had no trouble. I've ordered new mounting hardware and will have the plumber come out for the third time to install it properly and without substituting parts for the ones destroyed. The water surface is small, so that takes a little getting used to. Otherwise, I really like it. The skirt is sleek and easy to clean.

I've only installed one other toilet - the regular kind - so this was a challenge for me. Drilling into tile to install the anchors was brutal, but I'm no pro, and I was using a battery powered drill with some masonary drill bits. Had to keep switching between 2 batteries so it took 2 days. One drill bit fell down the waste pipe, so I would recomend duct taping the hole while you are working. Also helps with odor while you are working on the anchors and another toilet gets flushed in the house. Nothing like a hot breeze of decades of stool and splooge. The instructions were OK if you take you time to check all the steps. I also bought the no slam lid that was recommended. I read another review that mentioned how the lid keeps falling down. Mine did to until I slid the top of the tank back just 1/8 inch or so and now it stays up. In terms of the use, I, too, have found that the lesser flush works fine on both liquids and solids. My wife and I eat a good amount of fiber, so maybe that's the key. Less skid marks too. Friends and family have been impressed, and my 4-year-old daughter calls it the "magic" toilet. I'd get another one, just after I buy a plug-in drill.

Question:
What is the difference between Toto CST412MF and Toto CST416M ? besides the height difference? What does the "close coupled" mean?
Answer:

The seat height is the main differences in the two units. There are small design changes to the look of the CST412MF, but they are slight differences. Closed Coupled is another term for a two piece toilet. It basically means the tank and bowl are coupled together.
